Launching of 30 Day Challenge in Ayala Alabang
All Ayala Alabang Village Association (AAVA) residents (diabetics or not) were invited to the Charantia 30 Day Challenge last February 20, 2010.
The Charantia 30 Day Challenge is a program specially designed to help people who are diabetics, and those at risk (which means you and me and almost everyone else), to understand this condition called diabetes, and what can be done to effectively CONTROL and/or PREVENT it. The program begins with an invitation to everyone to come for free blood sugar screening, preceded by an overnight 8-hour fast, to determine current blood sugar baseline level. Participants who choose to join the program are challenged to follow a healthy lifestyle regimen of a low fat, high fiber food intake, and appropriate regular exercise over a 30-day period. At the end of the 30-day program, the participants will discover who conquered the challenge with sweet success . They will also discover the lesson common to all: that faithfully following a healthy lifestyle is the key to controlling blood sugar level, and success can only come if one takes personal responsibility for one’s health.
